Vanilla Butter Nut Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter
- ¼ cup Crisco or margarine
- 5 eggs
- ¾ cup evaporated milk
- ¼ cup water
- 3¾ cups flour
- 2 tablespoons vanilla/butter nut flavoring
Steps
- Cream the sugar, butter, and Crisco together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well between each addition.
- Add evaporated milk and water, mix until combined.
- Gradually add flour and flavoring, mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a well-greased tube pan.
- Start in a cold oven set to 325 degrees F.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
