Strawberry Cream Squares

Ingredients

Crust

  • 2 cups coarsely chopped pretzels
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter

Filling

  • 1 8-oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup miracle whip
  • 2 Tablespoons orange juice
  • 4 cup cool whip

Jell-O Layer

  • 2 small packages strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 cup boiling water
  • 2 packages 10oz Birdseye strawberries in syrup (not thawed)

Steps

  1. For the crust: Mix together pretzels, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9 X 13 baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 350°F and let cool.
  2. For the filling: Beat cream cheese, miracle whip, and orange juice together. Fold in the cool whip until smooth. Spread on the cooled crust. Refrigerate while you fix the Jell-O layer.
  3. For the Jell-O Layer: Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water, stir in strawberries until they separate. Spoon over the cool whip layer. Refrigerate until set or overnight.
