Sour Cream Chocolate Bundt Cake
Ingredients
Cake
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ¾ cup cold water
- ½ cup margarine
- ½ cup sour cream
- 4 eggs
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 squares of baking chocolate, melted
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 to 2 tablespoons warm water
Steps
- Mix together the cake ingredients: flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.
- Cream together vanilla, cold water, margarine, sour cream, and eggs.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until well mixed.
- Pour into a well-greased bundt pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool completely before adding glaze.
For the glaze, mix together powdered sugar, melted chocolate, vanilla, and enough warm water to achieve desired consistency. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
