Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs, one at a time
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Steps

  1. Cream together butter and sugar.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the creamed mixture.
  5. Pour into a well-greased tube or bundt pan.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
