Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs, one at a time
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup milk
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
Steps
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder.
- Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the creamed mixture.
- Pour into a well-greased tube or bundt pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
