Moms potato soup

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • 2 Ig. cans chicken broth
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 5 to 7 peeled cubed potatoes
  • Celery seed to taste
  • 1 onion diced small ‡ cup corn starch
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps

in a large pot melt butter, add flour makes a paste add chicken broth little at a time till smooth broth. Add all items except corn starch.
Cook until potatoes are done (fork soft).
Mash with potato masher, leaving some potatoes pieces.
mix corn starch with some broth and add to thicken.
