Hot Pretzels

Ingredients

  • 1 pk dry yeast
  • 1/8 cup warm water
  • 1 1/3 cup warm water
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 5 cup flour

Steps

  1. Dissolve yeast in 1/8 cup water.
  2. Stir in remaining water, add brown sugar, add flour mix until smooth.
  3. Place in lightly greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, let rise.
  4. Preheat oven to 475, put a large pot of water on to boil.
  5. Turn out dough to a lightly floured surface.
  6. Cut small sections of dough, roll into ropes then form into pretzels.
  7. Place in boiling water, when they puff up turn over for a few seconds.
  8. Place on cookie sheet sprinkle with coarse salt bake till golden brown.
