Fresh Peach Cake
Ingredients
- 3 sticks butter (1½ cups)
- 1½ cups sugar
- 1½ cups milk
- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- Peaches, peeled and cut into slices
Steps
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add milk, flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla, and mix until well combined. The batter will be very thick.
- Arrange the peach slices in the bottom of a greased 9 X 13 baking dish.
- Pour the batter over the peaches.
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 60 to 65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
